The start of any wedding is an exciting event, awaiting the arrival of the bride and her bridal party.
This particular wedding shows the start of Spring on the farm, held in late August, with warm days and blossoms all over.

There are few things better than wedding cake, especially a wedding cake that is this beautiful.

We prepare all of the food served at Roodezand ourselves and can prepare both plated and buffet style meals. We’ll provide you with a few menu options to choose from and from there together we'll plan the most delicious menu for you and your guests.
While we can offer a selection of dessert options you are welcome to bring in your own wedding cake at no charge.

You'll find our stunning venue in the quaint town of Tulbagh, tucked away beneath the mountains. Roodezand is only 10km outside of Tulbagh, the road is newly paved with just the last 2km still being dirt road.

Roodezand itself is a working farm with cattle, stone fruit (such as peaches and plums), and butternut. Depending on the season you might just get some farm fresh ingredients included in your menu!
The farm started in 1907 with the venue being located in a building that’s over 220 years old, and the chapel being situated in the oldest building on the farm.
The staff at Roodezand are all a part of the Roodezand farm community and both live and work on the farm itself. They have all been with the venue for many years and enjoy making your day special by serving drinks, food, and making sure every detail is perfected.

Another month almost done as we slowly move towards Spring on the farm. A favourite time of year for us as we see new life and fresh blooms all over the valley. A wonderful time of year for weddings too!
