Today could have been a very different day for The Nut Farm.
A fire was heading straight towards our farm, and for a moment, the thought of losing everything we’ve spent years building felt frighteningly real.
But thankfully, God did not script this as the end of our story. 🤍
With the incredible help of our neighbours and community, we managed to extinguish the fire before it reached us.
There is something incredibly humbling about standing there, watching a fire approach everything you love. It puts a lot into perspective very quickly.
But today didn’t only remind us how quickly things can change. It reminded us just how lucky we are to live amongst people who show up. Who arrive when there’s trouble, roll up their sleeves and help protect what is yours as though it were their own.
To every single person who showed up for us today — thank you. We are more grateful than we can put into words.

Skeerpoort really is the best place in the world to call home. 🤍
