ABOUT KNORHOEK ESTATE
The fabulous fertile foothills of Simonsberg Mountain hold the original farm previously known as Kleygat (Clay-hole), now known as Knorhoek. 1793 most of the land in the valley was acquired by Martin Melck, the original owner of Knorhoek, The Cape Mountain Lion, now extinct, used to roam the land preying on the livestock on the farm, hence the use of the lion on Knoerhoek Est

Knorhoek today is a sought after location to visit in a stunning setting with a lot to offer wine lovers.
