Don't be a statistic this new year.
What ever event you will be having Watch out. Don't be scammed. You have no idea how many people get scammed for tens of thousands of rands with no Service.
1. Don't be fooled by flamboyant online photos in this digital age with ai anything is possible. And people have a tendency to copy and paste 🤔 images that they saw online.
2. Meet service providers in person
3. If it's decor Service they will be rendering ask for mock up so you can physically see these items/gear that is promised. Note some will ask for a deposit upfront.
4. Ask for referrals from people you know or ask your service provider for references, or check them out on Google, Facebook etc. . .
5.Ask for an alternative contact number, or at least know their base of operations should a time arise where you can't get hold of them.
6.Ask as many questions as possible during the meet up, and also have someone else as well as witnesses. Get as much clarity on things you don't understand and jot it down so that when the meeting is done you guys have written proof that all parties could sign on.
7. Make sure you discuss when event preparations should be done, date time etc. . .please be aware that life does happen but that you should be kept abreast in case of any eventuality.
8.If you're getting married or you'll be pre occupied before the event, nominate someone close to you who will be the go to person, rope them in from the beginning so that they know what needs to be done by whom and who should be contacted etc. . .
