Dit was vir my ’n besondere voorreg om Jardo Engelbrecht en Jean-Marié Orton op 6 Desember 2025 in die huwelik te bevestig by The SeaTrader op St. Helena Baai. Die Weskus-wind het natuurlik ook sy sê gehad – maar in plaas van ontwrigting het dit deel geword van ’n ongelooflike dag van ‘n baie mooi paartjie. My wens is dat julle liefde al hoe dieper sal groei en dat die band wat julle aan mekaar bind, met elke gedeelde oomblik sterker sal word. Mag julle huwelik oorvloedig geseën wees met liefde, vreugde en vrede – elke dag van die res van julle lewe.

It was a privilege for me to officiate the marriage of Jardo Engelbrecht and Jean-Marié Orton on 6 December 2025 at The SeaTrader in St Helena Bay. The West Coast wind, of course, also had its say - but instead of causing disruption, it became part of an incredible day for a truly beautiful couple. My wish is that your love will grow ever deeper, and that the bond that unites you will become stronger with every shared moment. As a wedding officiant conducting ceremonies throughout the Western Cape, I have the privilege of meeting some of the most amazing people, such as Darryl Smith and Nadia Peens (Yssel). They live and work in Australia. On April 19th, 2025, I had the honour of officiating their wedding ceremony at Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein. It was an honour for me to conduct the service. My wish for Darryl and Nadia is a long, happy, and love-filled marriage. May your marriage be full of adventure and beautiful memories.

As 'n huweliksbevestiger het ek die voorreg om mense van regoor SA en die wêreld wat in die mooie Kaap wil trou, in die huwelik te bevestig. In die proses ontmoet ek wonderlike mense soos Darryl Smith en Nadia Peens (Yssel) wat in Australië woon en werk. Op 19 April 2025 was dit my voorreg om hul troue by Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein waar te neem. My wens vir Darryl en Nadia is 'n gelukkige en liefdevolle huwelik. Mag julle huwelik vol avontuur en pragtige herinneringe wees.

Ek het die voorreg om vir mense van regoor SA en die wêreld wat in die mooie Kaap wil trou, ‘n huweliksbevestiger te wees. In die proses ontmoet ek die wonderlikste mense. Dit was my voorreg om vir Louis du Plessis en Sonet Vlok op 19 April 2025 op die strand in Yzerfontein in die huwelik te bevestig. Die plekkie wat hierdie twee onderwysers wat in Oman skoolhou uitgekies het, was asemrowend mooi. Ek wens hulle net die beste toe vir ‘n lang en gelukkige huwelik.
I have the privilege of being a marriage officiant for people from all over SA and the world who want to get married in the beautiful Cape. In the process, I meet the most wonderful people. It was my privilege to confirm the marriage of Louis du Plessis and Sonet Vlok, who reside and teach in Oman, on 19 April 2025. The spot on the beach in Yzerfontein was breathtakingly beautiful. I wish them only the best for a long and happy marriage.

I had the privilege to officiate Brandon Swanepoel's and Janali Stoffberg's wedding ceremony on the 14th of December 2024. They married at the Guinevere guest farm close to Tulbagh. It was an honour to share the love and commitment of this beautiful couple, surrounded by family and friends. I'm grateful that I was part of their big day.
Ek het die voorreg gehad om Brandon Swanepoel en Janali Stoffberg op die 14e Desember 2024 in die huwelik te bevestig. Die seremonie het plaasgevind op die Guinevere gasteplaas, naby Tulbagh. Dit was vir my 'n eer om deel te wees van hulle liefde en toewyding aan mekaar terwyl hulle omring was deur familie en vriende. Ek is dankbaar dat ek deel van hulle groot dag kon wees.

What a privilege it was for me to officiate the marriage of Warren Shrives and Yolande Redelinghuys from Ermelo on the 27th of March 2025. What made it more special was that I officiated the wedding of Yolande’s daughter, Shay and her husband, Gordan (who lives in America) a year ago at the Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein. It was great to see them and the rest of the family at Warren and Yolande’s special occasion. They married at a private house in Betties Bay with the most unbelievable views. I wish them all the best.
Dit was 'n groot voorreg om op 27 Maart 2025 vir Warren Shrives en Yolande Redelinghuys van Ermelo in die huwelik te bevestig. Wat dit ekstra spesiaal gemaak het, was dat ek ook vir Shay, Yolande se dogter en haar man Gordan, (wat in Amerika woon) 'n jaar gelede by die Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein getrou het. Dit was wonderlik om hulle twee asook die res van die familie by Warren en Yolande se spesiale geleentheid te sien. Hulle het by 'n privaathuis in Bettiesbaai getrou met die mees asemrowende uitsig. Ek wens hulle alle geluk toe.
