A little colour crush from last weekend’s mock up! 🌸🧡

This time, a sneak peek at our second November wedding. Pink and purple orchids, pops of orange and rich burgundy, all brought together with soft white fabric and woven details. Such a happy table!

One of my favourite parts of a mock up is seeing all the ideas come together… and then getting excited to do it all again on a much bigger scale! 😎

A little peek at what’s coming this November…

We had two mock-ups last week for our November brides, and first up is Monique’s!

Soft blue and white hydrangeas, pops of deeper blue, fresh greens and those gorgeous blue glasses… we’ve got a little crush on this table. 😍

There’s something so special about seeing all the ideas come together for the first time - and knowing the next time will be the wedding day!

This is how you do a matric dance! 🌸🪩

For Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge’s A Kaleidoscope of Colour, we gave each table its own colour and flowers. Walking around the room, we kept changing our minds about which one was our favourite! 😂

And then there was the entrance arch… We covered it in flowers that moved from red and orange through yellow, purple and green, with colourful draping to match. If you were going to make an entrance, that was the way to do it! 🌈

Remember that forest of greenery we showed you? 🌿 This is where it all went!

Ané and Calvin got married at Red Ivory on 24 September, and we had the best time bringing all those greens and whites together.

The ceremony arch, the tables, the little lights tucked under glass domes… and that view behind it all!

Ané and Calvin, thank you for trusting us with such a big part of your day. We loved creating this for you, and we hope married life is every bit as lovely as the day you shared. 🥂

I’ve spent so much of my life in the air that I think flying will always be part of me. I still freelance as a corporate flight attendant, and I still love it. ✈️

But if you ask me what has my heart, the answer is Two Balloons 🩷

I started this little business in 2018 while I was still flying full time. For years, I gave it every spare hour I had. There were late nights working on quotes, early mornings at flower markets and weekends spent setting up weddings before going back to my other job.

Now I get to spend more of my time doing what I built Two Balloons for: taking someone’s ideas and turning them into a day that feels like them! I love choosing the flowers, figuring out the details and finally standing back to see it all come together.

Flying is still a love of mine, but Two Balloons is the one I built with my own hands, and I’m so proud that I get to call it mine. 🎈

P.S. These photos wouldn’t feel complete without some of the people who have been beside me through it all. My dad, Gertjie, is one of my biggest supporters in both Two Balloons and aviation. Gregory and I get to fly together, and he’s always cheering me on with Two Balloons too. And my baby sister, Natalie... I’m so grateful I have you all in my corner 💕

A celebration filled with colour, warmth and so much love 🌸

Sylvia and Quentin’s wedding on Saturday was an absolute joy to bring to life. From the rich burgundy, peach and blush florals to the flowing rust-toned runners and statement floral seating plan, every detail came together beautifully.

And that bridal bouquet… an explosion of colour, texture and personality! 😍

🌷 Sometimes the quiet seasons are exactly what we need. 🌷

Two Balloons has had a slower start to 2026 than we’re used to, and if I’m honest, that has been a gift.

Last year was one of the most challenging seasons of my life - both emotionally and physically. It stretched me in ways I never expected and reminded me how important it is to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Sitting in these endless tulip fields was a beautiful reminder that growth often happens beneath the surface, long before anyone sees the blooms.

Right now, we’re heading into winter in South Africa, and while our busiest wedding season is still a few months away, I’m already feeling excited for what lies ahead. When spring eventually arrives, we’ll once again get to do what we love most: creating beautiful flowers and magical moments for our brides on one of the most important days of their lives.

This quieter start to the year has restored my soul, reignited my creativity, and reminded me why I fell in love with this work in the first place.

I’m so grateful for this season of rest and even more excited for the weddings still to come.

Some bouquets carry more than just beauty… they carry love, comfort, and the words we sometimes don’t know how to say 🩷

This isn’t something I do often, but when a dear friend loses someone close to her, flowers feel like the gentlest way to remind her that she’s surrounded by love.

A small gesture, but one filled with so much heart 🌸
