🌷 Hello, Spring! 🌷

There’s just something about the start of spring that makes everything feel a little more exciting… fresh flowers, warmer days and, for us, the start of the wedding season! 🩷

After months of planning, quoting, mood boards and dreaming up beautiful things, we’re officially 18 days away from our first wedding of the season and we honestly cannot wait to get our hands on the flowers and start creating again. 🥹🌸

Here’s to a new season filled with beautiful blooms, happy couples, very early flower-market mornings, lots of coffee and some truly gorgeous wedding days.

🌷 Sometimes the quiet seasons are exactly what we need. 🌷

Two Balloons has had a slower start to 2026 than we’re used to, and if I’m honest, that has been a gift.

Last year was one of the most challenging seasons of my life - both emotionally and physically. It stretched me in ways I never expected and reminded me how important it is to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Sitting in these endless tulip fields was a beautiful reminder that growth often happens beneath the surface, long before anyone sees the blooms.

Right now, we’re heading into winter in South Africa, and while our busiest wedding season is still a few months away, I’m already feeling excited for what lies ahead. When spring eventually arrives, we’ll once again get to do what we love most: creating beautiful flowers and magical moments for our brides on one of the most important days of their lives.

This quieter start to the year has restored my soul, reignited my creativity, and reminded me why I fell in love with this work in the first place.

I’m so grateful for this season of rest and even more excited for the weddings still to come.

This isn’t something I do often, but when a dear friend loses someone close to her, flowers feel like the gentlest way to remind her that she’s surrounded by love.

Spring in the Northern Hemisphere did something special to me 🌸

I was lucky enough to spend a few days in the US 🇺🇸 Wandering through the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens was exactly what my heart needed. Being surrounded by fresh blooms, soft sunshine, and quiet moments in nature reminded me why I fell in love with flowers in the first place.

There’s something about spring… the newness, the colour, the life - it resets you
(Especially when we’re heading into winter back home).

I feel so inspired, so recharged, and so ready to pour all of this energy into our upcoming weddings. I have so many ideas, so much excitement, and I cannot wait to create magic for our beautiful couples!
