This stir fried veg dish has become quite the hit with our Jerk lovers!

We have wanted to bring more menu items for a while now and we all know we must eat out veggies. Having something that tastes amazing brings all the help we need.

Our stirfry has a chicken broth sauce which gives great depth to the flavour, but never fear my vegetarian friends, no chickens were harmed in the making of this dish. (Can't say the same for the Jerk though...)

Want to try something new? Check out our Escovitch fried fish.

Often, sauces can overpower the flavour of the fish, but Escovitch is a delicious dressing that is used to compliment the flavours.

Onions and peppers are gently fried is an spicy pickled sauce which is then drizzled over the fish.

We serve it here with another new addition Stirfry Vegetables and Bakes for a wonderful combination of flavours.

Finally, In conjunction with Lioness Productions and Back to the City, we host the second installment of our entertainment phase.

Toast, an ode to lyrics, poetry and MCs. 50 years of Hip Hop, 50 years of CARICOM.

The Caribbean has had a major influence on music across the globe where our own sounds have travelled and we've had a hand in creating others like Hop Hop (DJ Kool Herc was from Jamrock)

This event aims to precursor the Back To The City celebrations on October 7th 2023 in Newtown, Johannesburg, where we will also contribute to the Dancehall stage.

This week we sponsored 'Jamaica food day' at Bryanston High school with some Trini Doubles for them to sell. The school managed to raise a total R60k in 2 hours selling various foods and doing games. That is an amazing effort!

Our Story

The Jerk Company produces quality authentic Caribbean cuisine for South Africa.

Our Jamaican Jerk is marinated overnight, charcoal smoked and then coated with a sweet & spicy basting while being grilled to perfection. Our stews are also 24hr marinated and then slow cooked to create a finished product that falls off the bone. Come visit us at our Wynberg cafe for a takeaway or sit down meal, or the Fourways Farmers Market for a relaxing Sunday afternoon or one of the many events we attend around Gauteng.

You are also welcome to book us for you own event, birthday, wedding function, or festival.
