Niki De Klerk 💯 recommends Diamond X Cowboy Ranch.

Your adventure and journey starts with a gravel road drive. You arrive at a rustic picturesque ranch (don’t forget you cowboy hat) where the outdoor atmosphere, smell of lavender and clean farm air washes over you with relaxation. Rudan with his husky cowboy voice, Watson’ kindness and horse knowledge and Ross with his patience and willingness to help makes you feel ever so welcome. The Braai is a real treat, hats off to the lady in the kitchen, the cowboy pen up is an experience and highly recommended to anyone that wants to learn a bit more about horses. Sunset ride was beautiful and the City Slickers breakfast an absolute treat. The horses are kind and Watson makes sure the horse is suited to the rider. I will definitely be back. Had a big smile on my face all the way home.
P.s There are so much more to tell but cant fit it all in! You will not be dissapointed 🤠🤩♥️

Two Feathers Ranch, a 357-acre estate in Darby, Montana, has been listed for $16.3 million. The property was once part of Chief Joseph Ranch, the real-life filming location used as the Dutton family compound in the Paramount series “Yellowstone.” It features a 7,180-square-foot main residence, a guest home, a manager’s house, horse barns, 2,500 feet of trout fishing creek frontage, and irrigated pasture that supports a working Black Angus cattle operation.

Tourists still line up to take photos of the Dutton Ranch next door, and the listing agent says the show’s cultural impact continues to drive interest in Montana properties. With the original series wrapped and spinoffs like “The Madison” already drawing new attention to the state, the so-called “Yellowstone effect” is still shaping real estate in the Bitterroot Valley. If you have $16.3 million and a dream of living like a Dutton, this is as close as it gets.

🐴 Thousands Watch as Chincoteague Wild Ponies Complete Historic 100th Swim in Virginia 🌊

Each summer, a quiet stretch of coastline on Virginia’s Eastern Shore transforms into the stage for one of America’s most unique traditions. This year, thousands gathered to witness a milestone moment—the 100th annual Chincoteague Pony Swim 🎉, a spectacle that blends history, community, and the enduring charm of wild horses.

A Century-Old Tradition 🕰️

The Chincoteague Pony Swim traces its roots back to the 1920s, when local residents devised a creative way to raise funds for their volunteer fire department 🚒.

Since then, the event has grown into a beloved annual celebration. Wild ponies from nearby Assateague Island are guided by local firefighters—known as “Saltwater Cowboys” 🤠—across the Assateague Channel to Chincoteague Island.

What began as a small fundraiser now draws tens of thousands of visitors each year, many traveling from across the country and beyond to witness the brief but unforgettable crossing.

The Big Swim 🌊🐎

The swim itself is surprisingly short—often lasting just a few minutes—but the anticipation builds for hours. Spectators line the shores, wade into marshy waters, or watch from boats 🚤, all waiting for the moment the herd enters the channel.

Timing is everything. The crossing takes place during slack tide, when the current is weakest, helping ensure safer conditions for the ponies.

As the ponies begin their journey, heads bobbing above the water, cheers erupt from the crowd 🙌. The first foal to reach shore earns the honorary title of “King” or “Queen Neptune” 👑, adding a playful touch to the tradition.

More Than a Spectacle ❤️

While the swim is the highlight, it’s only part of a larger event known as Pony Penning Week. After reaching Chincoteague Island, some foals are auctioned, helping control the herd’s size and support essential local services, including veterinary care and fire department operations.

The ponies themselves live most of the year on Assateague Island, where they roam freely in a protected natural environment 🌿.

A Moment That Brings People Together 🤝

For many attendees, the experience is about more than just the swim. It is about community, tradition, and a shared sense of wonder ✨.

Visitors arrive early, sometimes trekking through mud and marsh to secure a good viewing spot. Despite the effort, the payoff is worth it: a fleeting but powerful moment as dozens of ponies glide across the water together.

Why It Still Matters 💙

Reaching its 100th year, the Chincoteague Pony Swim stands as a testament to the enduring bond between people, animals, and place. It is a tradition that has adapted over time while staying true to its roots, supporting the local community and preserving a unique piece of American heritage 🇺🇸.

As the ponies complete their crossing and step onto shore, the crowd’s applause celebrates more than admiration—it honors a century of stories, memories, and a tradition that shows no sign of fading.
