Our team thrives on strong coffee and good conversation. The first thing we do every morning? Head straight for the nook. ☕

We even have a custom True North coffee menu. Every team member's exact order, precisely how they like it. Because knowing how your colleague takes their coffee is a small but intentional act of I see you, and I've got you.

It's where we take a breath, we catch up, and check in — really check in. It sets the tone for the day ahead.

It sounds simple. But this is where our culture lives, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Food has always been the great equaliser. The thing that pulls chairs closer and connects strangers through shared experiences.

Right now, the most exciting food experiences we're seeing aren't the extravagant ones - They're rustic, hearty, and considered.

We're seeing the return of the market tables, earthen bowls, and the breads that are slightly uneven because they were made by hand.

That's the power of simplicity in food done well. It doesn't shout. It just brings people together and lets the connection do the rest.

When it comes to choosing a venue for your event, it's part instinct and part interrogation.

After years of sourcing venues globally, we've learned that the right questions asked early make all the difference.

Here are 5 of our top considerations when picking venues for clients:

🔸How to fill the space: The right venue fits your guests like it was made for them.
🔸Time allowance: We never book on the event hours alone.
🔸Perks: What's included shapes the budget and the experience before a single supplier is briefed.
🔸Sensible logistics measures: If these don't flow, neither does the event.
🔸Health & Safety: We never treat this as an afterthought.

Great venues reveal themselves with time.

The screen is no longer the main character.

Don't get us wrong, we know there's always room for tech. But leaning into moments that spark emotion and memory will leave a lasting legacy.

A conversation that ran over time. A shared meal. The spontaneous applause - These are the things people carry home.

We're here for cutting out the AI overload and reclaiming presence with ourselves, our colleagues, and our people.

Happy Birthday, Solly. May your day go exactly according to plan, no last-minute changes, and zero curveballs. (but lots of cake!) You've earned it! 😉

Two hotels. One plug that didn’t fit. Completely different experiences.

It highlighted something we’re seeing more and more in our industry. We’re calling it the two-pin plug problem.

In our latest article, we unpack the growing gap between client management and account management, and why responsiveness, proximity and genuine connections are becoming the real differentiators in service industries.

All it took was a small moment at 8:30 in the morning with wet hair to reveal a much bigger truth. Read more: https://www.tnagency.co/news/the-two-pin-plug-problem/

We've been watching a powerful shift. People don't just want to be entertained; they want to be engaged.

The resurgence of the simplistic isn't a gimmick. It's a response. A reaching back for something easy, relatable and real. It's all about sparking the polite debate that doesn't descend into noise or engaging in a conversation that has depth.

Because real, unhurried, face-to-face dialogue is where connection is made. The laugh over a board game. the disagreement that opens a door to fresh ideas, the conversation that starts over food and ends somewhere neither person expected.

For us its all about bringing a sense of fantasy and fluidity as an antidote to the chaos of the world outside. 🌿

Sometimes, the smallest acts create the biggest moments. At the G20 ambassadors' kickoff dinner, we served amagwinya in clay pots with chakalaka butter.

It sounds small. It wasn’t.

Guests who were once strangers began trading stories of Durban, family, home, and heart. Global bonds sparked over bites. And butter.

Some collaborations just make sense. And some make magic. ✨

When Li Edelkroot, Studio H and Babylonstoren come together, you get the magic... And what unfolded was a love letter to South African craft, and to the art of slowing down.

With a lunch bar anchored in deep, lush reds, vine tomatoes nestled on salt beds with bocconcini, artisanal breads warm enough to pull apart, olive oils worth lingering over. Meats cut to order by the maker themselves. The display of food was an art in itself. You didn't just eat it. You stood before it and were immersed in it.

This is what we mean when we talk about going back to the analogue moments. It's not the grandest gesture, but the most considered ones that count.

🧈Butter… Art. Small‑batch heirloom churns. Sculpted centrepieces on candlelit tables.

Butter isn’t just back, it’s having a genuine moment, and we think it's here to stay for a while.

From Insta-worthy butter candle spreads to artisanal butters that tell a story on the plate, and butter boards taking over bookclub canapes, we’re feeling this trend in every sense. 🤌🏻 We love a table that makes people lean in and ask, “What is that?”
