Let me tell you a cool little story....🖤
Hi 👋 I'm Chanel Creser, I have been an Interior Designer and within the Interior Design Industry for a good part of 17+ years (may or may not be in denial about that number especially since I still think I'm 25 😁)
Well I love Design, but Art and all artforms - have always had my heart, I was drawing and creating from the earliest age, i would get lost in it, find solace and safety in it- an unexplainable peace. However in my mind an artist couldn't make the big bucks- so design was where I leaned and furthered my career.
BUT,
around the beginning of 2025 God started speaking to me about pursing Art again, reigniting the passion and pursueing the gift!!!! But typical Chanel, I question everything, yes including God's instruction and found every excuse and reason under the sun why it couldn't work, I was too busy, there was no time, I haven't been practicing bla bla bla...
Do you think God cared about my excuses - uuuh NO he did not- and he kept nagging my spirit for pretty much the whole year- until eventually he quietend things down where I had no more excuses left and just had to act in obedience. I registered the business, started creating and I was like ok so I'll go all in from the new year.
But end of November earlier December , an old Client of mine that I had done Design work for previously called me randomly and said he needed some Art for an office space (without even seeing or knowing this is what i had started doing).... I sent him some of the options and pieces- he loved them and boom just like that a full commercial custom art collection approved and signed off in the last month of the year where the world basically stops turning for 31days.
This all being done without a single marketing or advertising post.
Moral of the story- when you are called with the favor of God on your life, it doesnt matter what it looks like right now to you, around you, or to others watching ultimately OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY TO WALKING WITH GOD- you won't ever feel ready, adequate enough, good enough, but when God says it's go time- then it's GO TIME 💥
Jesus asked Peter to step out of the boat to follow him, Peter had no idea whether he would sink, or maybe be eaten by a shark ,let alone walk on the water towards Jesus- He decided to take that step out, AND let his Faith overtake the FEAR.
Stop trying to make overly calculated decisions, especially if God is calling you towards something- stop trying to play His role. He knows exactly what he is doing , and he will use the most unlikely situations to show up, show off ,where there could be no other explanation other than "THAT WAS GOD ALONE!"
So much easier said than done- but once we surrender and obey- let Jesus take the wheel , He will take you on the ride of your life.
Buckle up , im ready for the ride Lord💥🙏🏻
