There is something beautiful about an orchid.
It doesn't bloom because it is trying to outshine the rose.
It doesn't fight the lavender for its fragrance or the sunflower for the light.
It doesn't spend its days wishing it looked like another flower.
It simply becomes what it was created to be.
Perhaps that is why He created gardens with many flowers and not just one.
Imagine if every flower decided that only the rose was beautiful.
The orchids would stop blooming.
The wildflowers would apologise for growing where they were planted.
And the garden would lose the very thing that made it beautiful, its diversity.
The wedding industry is much the same.
We stand in the same garden, yet each of us has been given a different seed to steward. Different hands. Different stories. Different talents. Different people to serve.
Comparison has never created beauty.
It only distracts us from the beauty we already carry.
Yes, trust that what is meant for you will find you. But sometimes He places the seed in your hands and asks you to plant it. Sometimes the breakthrough is found in the email you send, the door you knock on, the conversation you begin, or the opportunity you have the courage to create.
The intention matters.
Build, not to outshine...
Create, not to compete...
Serve, not to be seen...
An orchid does not take the place of a rose, and a rose cannot become an orchid. Each flourishes when it embraces its own design.
So be uniquely you.
Bloom where you are planted.
Celebrate the flowers around you.
And trust that the opportunities prepared for you will never require you to become someone else, only a more faithful version of who He created you to be.
The most beautiful gardens are not made up out of one flower.
They are made up out of many, each carrying the fingerprints of their Creator.
