Dear Makers & Creators

Sometimes, we're forced to make decisions that are difficult, make us sad, disappointed and even a bit angry. But reality has shown over and over again that risk is part of life. We studied the weather forecast from all angles, from every conceivable source and we simply cannot take the chance of allowing our Vendors to suffer the consequences of a market that is either sopping wet or not supported by sufficient visitors. From experience, we know that Market goers love the outdoors to linger and browse, and, like anyone in our (wet) shoes, with the abnormally wet season we've had so far, we simply cannot guarantee that everyone will have a great day, weather-wise. Add to that the risk of Eskom being unable to supply electricity in bad weather, the effects of cold, wind, rain and mud on our Vendors’ products and property, on the young and old (and their pets) - all reasons enough for us to do the sensible thing.
We therefore admit defeat from the onslaught of the elements and we will have our next market, deo valente, Sunday 6 February 2022.
Please accept our apologies and we wish you and your family a festive and blessed festive season and we look forward to picking up where we left off in the new year.
Thank you kindly

The Market Team♥️♥️♥️
