4 from midnight tonight/ Monday 28th June to Sunday 11th July 2021 for 14 days after which it will be reassessed.
It's easier to catch the Delta variant than previous variants and more can be infected. Gauteng has more than 60% of infections currently
1. All gatherings in doors or outdoors are prohibited
2. Funerals and cremation attendance not to exceed 50 people
3. Night vigils, after funerals gatherings not allowed
4. Beaches and parks remain open but no gatherings allowed in either
5. 21h00 to 4h00 curfew.
6. Sale of alcohol prohibited on or off site. Alcohol prohibited/ prohibition
7. Travel in and out of Gauteng for leisure is prohibited.
8. You can return home to or from Gauteng if you are currently not at home.
9. Old age homes access is restricted.
10. Restaurants only allowed to sell food for take aways or deliveries.
11. Closure of schools and other instututions to close from Wednesday 30th June. ALL schools to be closed by Friday.
11. Contact classes at tertiary facilities not allowed but institutions can stay open.
12. Most businesses can continue at full capacity as long as they observe all protocols.
13. Mandatory to wear a face mask in all public spaces including transport.
14. All employers must allow employees to work from home where possible.
Gauteng has suspended non elective surgery to allow capacity.
