Perfect! That’s the only way I can describe Vasie & Letitia’s wedding at Oakfield Farm near Krugersdorp. They are two beautiful people, and it was a beautiful wedding. Lots of laughter, lots of happy friends enjoying the party. Their was a nice relaxed atmosphere the whole day, nobody was stressed, and nothing went wrong. This is the way a wedding should be, no hour long speeches, just friends having a good time together and enjoying the wedding.
LOL. The only small little hickup was when I went to the wrong room where the other groom getting married for the day and his best men got dressed. I asked where the groom was, and they said he was taking a shower, I didn’t know any of the best men, so I just started photographing and posing them, they obliged happily. After about 5 minutes of taking photos, I
discovered that this was the wrong bridal party, I really felt stupid!
I asked Letitia a couple of questions about their wedding and how they met each other!
How did you meet?
We met at work (PwC) a few years ago… Vasie was always stalking me at the printer:-)
Tell us about the proposal
It was disastrously PERFECT! We went away to Stone Hill in Magalies for a weekend with our 3 doggies… We took the doggies for an afternoon walk.. Half way through the walk we stopped for a water break..(which turned out to be a champagne break) Randomly, while I was screaming at the doggies that ran away into the bushes, Vasie played our song and got down on one knee to propose.. :-) Ps. Apparently “obviously” is not an answer!
Describe your wedding day, anything specific that you will always remember
The dress: I will always remember that the dress almost didn’t fit:-) We had such a laugh, combined with panic.
The Flowers: We chose daisies as our flowers, as it is my favourite flower and always has been.
Highlight of the wedding: For me the highlight was seeing Vasie for the first time that day – also, dancing together as a married couple for the first time was very special.
Was there any drama: I think the dress that didn’t want to fit was enough drama for one day:-)
The Honeymoon: We went to Mauritius for honeymoon – it was absolutely divine! We pretty much laid in the sun all day with cocktails, it was such a relaxing and romantic atmosphere… # take me back!
Tell us about your photographer: We couldn’t have chosen a better photographer than JC! We were so relaxed with him and had an absolute jol taking photos!
Who did your make-up and hair? Hair was by Deena (082 887 8888) and make-up was by Tris Alves (072 639 6844)
Any other suppliers that you want to mention? The guy that did our decor, flowers etc (DP Rossouw) was an absolute sweetheart and he did an awesome job!
Where was your honeymoon: Mauritius – Outrigger Resort & Spa
Do you have any advice for other brides/grooms-to-be: I’d have to say, don’t stress the small things on the day! Just try and relax as the day goes by very quickly!
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
We pretty much wanted a fun and colourful wedding where everyone just had a good party! We therefore decided to go with simple, fun colours, fairy lights and Chinese lanterns to create a fun and joyful atmosphere:-)
