What better way to end the year than with a splash! And by splash we mean a fun and colourful pool party. Only at Milner Fashion House will you find a private garden venue in the heart of Pretoria… with a crystal clear pool, ready to dive into.

A year-end pool is the perfect excuse for something fun, bright and celebratory. Juicy cocktails, playful pool toys and a play list packed with bangers, and you are good to go.

Bright colours with white highlights set against a dark moody blue sets the mood perfectly for a day of pool side fun.

Keep it easy and fun, now is not the time to stress to much about the details, as long as everyone has a cool drink in hand, MFH’s gorgeous pool-side setting will do all the heavy lifting.

Sit back and relax and watch as conversation flows, laughter get louder and the stresses of the year start to melt away.

A feminine affair, dressed to perfection.

A garden party inspired by the iconic Villa Les Rhumbs, Christian Dior’s childhood home.

Painted a soft pink and surrounded by lush, old-fashioned gardens, Villa Les Rhumbs provides exquisite inspiration for a feminine and fashionable gathering in the Milner Fashion House garden.

Fashion and foliage are some of our favourite sources of inspiration at MFH — so we absolutely jumped at the chance to combine the two for a lushly feminine garden party.

Villa Les Rhumbs and the iconic Bar Suit from Dior’s New Look were the main inspirations for this colour story, combining feminine pinks with bold, modern black and white.

We wanted the table to feel feminine, decadent and abundant — so we indulged in a riot of roses, tuberoses and fynbos, along with delicate pink glassware and mountains of fresh fruit.

Playful details like a miniature tailor’s dummy, a pair of 1950s kitten heels and satin bows added a little couture charm.

At MFH, we believe your event deserves the same attention to detail as your wardrobe.
From colour and texture to flowers, tableware and lighting, every detail contributes to the look and feel.

For this brief we tried our best to curb our maximalist tendencies - and kept things minimal by being very strict with our pallet - and extra considerate about the details we chose to focus on.

For this event, we kept the styling pared back and let the details do the talking — a striking palette of paprika, saffron, porcelain and slate, sculptural florals, and carefully considered details throughout.

Even the food and drinks became part of the design, echoing the colour palette and bringing the whole experience together.

Because minimal doesn’t have to mean understated. Sometimes, less simply gives the right details more room to shine
