Rest In Peace, Melvyn Matthews 🕊️

Today we pay tribute to the late Melvyn Matthews of Gqeberha, a talented singer and songwriter whose contribution to South African music history will never be forgotten. Melvyn was the man behind the pen who wrote the iconic hit “Weekend Special,” made famous by the legendary Brenda Fassie.

From all of us at Mofaya Events, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy receive the honour it deserves.
