We offer vendor support and recycling awareness campaigns tailored to suit your event! Nestled in the up-and-coming tourist hub of Ashburton, KZN, a recycling centre with a fresh and forward-thinking mindset is due to open on 26 March. Waste Lands recycling centre will not only change the way one thinks about and does recycling but will also create opportunities for people to use recycled matter t
o create an income or learn a new trade. Waste Lands hopes to reduce the amount of rubbish that goes to landfills by creating an easily accessible place for locals to drop off their recycled waste. The centre will also promote education around climate change, reducing landfill, recycling and up-cycling. Alongside Waste Lands recycling centre will be a unique and inventive shop. Waste Me Not, the fully up-cycled shop, will sell only up-cycled and repurposed goods - and is even completely built out of up-cycled and repurposed materials. Workshops on up-cycling and creating sellable goods out of recycled rubbish will be hosted at Waste Me Not. Waste Me Not hopes to change the way people think about the value of their trash, and how important it is to reduce the use of single-use packaging, by being able to view the tangible and valuable products that are being created. Waste Landsβ core members are passionate about the environment, climate change and the effect landfill has on the planet. They will take all measures needed to make sure every piece of recycled trash is reused, whether by creators at Waste Me Not, or by the various companies within South Africa that use recycled plastic, glass, tin and paper. Waste Land has done research on the official practices of recycling, any person leaving their recycling at Waste Lands can be confident and proud in their contribution to saving their environment.
