Country Weddings is the brainchild of Heidi (owner of Padlangs Restaurant & Country Shop as well as Die Grand Wedding & Function venue), Danika (owner of Twee Waters Guestfarm & has a passion for baking) and Anneli (owner of Anneli Young Photography). Three creative business owners that saw potential and growth within their own businesses and realised that it will be even better to link these busi

nesses together. We are all living our dream, living in the country, each married to a farmer and raising our 3-children-each in one of the most beautiful parts of the Eastern Cape, the Gamtoos Valley. Patensie has been a wedding destination choice by various bridal couples from “out of town” as it offers something different and more. It has the potential to turn a one day wedding into a whole weekend affair spent with friends and family in the beautiful valley filled with citrus orchards and farmlands! Patensie offers the tranquillity you want for your destination country wedding, yet it is only a short drive from Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay making it very easily accessible for consultations beforehand and daytrips for guests choosing not to stay over. We have everything here you will need to make your country wedding a success, from the fully licenced venue right through to food, photography, hair, make-up, flowers, décor, honeymoon suites and guest accommodation. In the Patensie and surrounding area, there are more than a 150 beds available to look after your wedding guests and the hosts are all looking forward to entertain you with country cuisine and one of a kind hospitality. Patensie is in the heart of citrus country and the community here also produces a very large variety of other fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the year. It is right en route to the Baviaanskloof, a world heritage site and wilderness area which is a great draw card for those that love to 4×4 and camp. We would love for you to spend your special night here with us in Patensie – besides, our stars are SO much prettier than in town! I feel that we can make your wedding day the one of your dreams.

Patensie, Hankey & the Baviaanskloof offers enough accommodation for ALL your wedding guests to make sure everyone can enjoy your wedding to the fullest, without having to travel too far back to surrounding towns. Good to know that Die Grand - Function Venue is a fully licenced venue, and will be stocked at the time of your function with the items on our wine list, that includes sparkling wine, spirits, beers and wines. You are also welcome to bring your own items for the tables, at a small additional fee per bottle, if you would like something a little more specific.

There will be live music, various food & other stalls selling all sorts of great goodies.
Just an hour from Port Elizabeth, it's such a beautiful drive out to Patensie in the Gamtoos Valley to enjoy nothing but true hospitality!
