We are exceptionally proud that two of our senior learners have been invited to participate in this year's UNISA South African Music Scholarship Competition! 👏🏼✨️

Lukas De Villers (Piano) and Sadé Theunissen (Violin) will showcase their remarkable prowess this Friday, 16 October 2026 at UNISA's Dr Miriam Makeba Concert Hall for the first time.

They will be chaperoned by their teachers, Mr Hadley Duminy and Mrs Inge Wittenberg, respectively.

We wish Lukas and Sadé our very best as they fly the FPMC flag high in the Pretoria sky! 🎹🎻

FPMC Alumni, Kyrah Adams (Marimba) has also been invited to participate in the prestigious competition and we extend our best wishes to her! ✨️

With great excitement, we proudly present this year’s Gala Concert, featuring our Schools’ Programme, Ensembles, Bands, Adult Choir, Soloists and the Frank Pietersen Orchestra. 🎶✨

Sadé Theunissen, FPMC violinist and matriculant at Noorder Paarl High School, has been invited to participate in the prestigious UNISA South African Music Scholarship Competition in Pretoria from 15-16 October 2026.

This invitation is extended only to music students who scored 85% and higher in their Gr 8 (final) UNISA music exam. It is an incredible opportunity earned through years of dedication, discipline and hard work.

Please consider making a donation towards the trip to Pretoria of Sadé and her teacher, Mrs Inge Wittenberg. No matter how large or small, it will help Sadé take her place on the national stage and move one step closer to her dream of studying music and inspiring others through the arts.
