We are looking for a passionate Event Design & Décor Assistant to join our dynamic team at Alice General Services (Pty) Ltd. If you're excited about creative event design, have an eye for detail, and enjoy interacting with clients, we want to hear from you!
Position: Event Design & Décor Assistant
Location: 5 Von Gesau Street, Nigel
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in designing and setting up mock-up event décor setups at our workshop weekly.
•Take professional content photos and videos of event setups for use on social media.
•Manage and update social media pages, promoting services, events, and content.
•Take orders for event furniture and equipment rentals.
•Provide customer service by assisting and approaching potential clients who visit the workshop.
•Offer creative input for event designs, décor, and layout options.
•Help coordinate and manage client inquiries and event timelines.
•Manage storage inventory, ensuring items are properly stored, tracked, and well-maintained.
Requirements:
•A passion for event design and décor with a strong creative flair.
•Previous experience in event planning/design or similar roles is a plus.
•Comfortable using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for business purposes.
•Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist clients.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
•Matric certificate required.
•Applicants must be under the age of 30.
•A valid driver’s license will be advantageous.
•Proficiency in Microsoft software, especially Excel, for inventory and other administrative tasks.
•Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
