A Story Written Into the Walls

Some places are beautiful because of what they offer.
Cellar 1848 is beautiful because of what it remembers.

Dating back almost 200 years, the historic cellar was established shortly after 1825, following the purchase of the land. After a generation of dormancy, restoration began in 2008 with a vision to preserve this heritage building and create a place where family, celebrations and unforgettable moments could live on.

Over the years, those gatherings grew into something truly special — and the family cellar became a treasured setting for weddings and celebrations.

Today, Cellar1848 is one of the established wedding venues in the Breede River Valley, Langeberg area, bringing together history, character and everything you need to celebrate your special day in one beautiful estate.
