A few moments from a memorable few days in the W**elands. 🍇✨

The Insurance Conference brought together insurance companies, industry partners and leaders for two days of **conversation, connection and fresh thinking** around the future of the insurance industry.

Day one was all about the business of moving forward — thought-provoking discussions, leadership perspectives, critical conversations and ideas shaping where the industry is headed.

Day two? A little more relaxed. 🎾🍷

Conference-goers had the chance to step away from the conference room and experience the W**elands through **padel, w**e tastings, great food and even better conversations** — connecting with industry peers in a completely different setting.

Hosted against the backdrop of the Western Cape W**elands, with **Plasir W**e Estate** as a key event partner alongside other participating estates and partners, it was a reminder that some of the best ideas happen when people have space to connect beyond the boardroom.

10 years ago, Urban Motion started in a dusty garage on our farm, with white couches covered in old sheets, big dreams, and absolutely no idea where the journey would take us.

Today, we create events, experiences, and moments across South Africa that I could never have imagined back then.

What I’m most proud of isn’t the events. It’s the people. The clients who trusted us, the partners who believed in us, and the incredible people who helped build this journey.

A special thank you to my business partner Francois, my parents Danie and Naomi, Alma, Blythe and Nkosinathi, Verona and Gretchen whose hard work and dedication help bring our vision to life every day. Thank you to Carel Nolte and the CN&CO family for your guidance, support and belief in me over the years. And to every team member, client, supplier and friend who has been part of the Urban Motion story, thank you.

From a dusty garage to creating experiences across the country, this milestone belongs to all of you.
