In the summer of 1923, Frank and Elizabeth Fraser and their two-year-old dog set out from Oregon, Indiana, to visit family. When they stopped for gas at a service station in Indiana, the dog was attacked by other three dogs and fled.
They searched everywhere for him, but in the end could not find him. They returned to Oregon heartbroken, believing they would never see their beloved dog again. After losing all hope, one day their daughter saw a skinny and exhausted dog on the street that looked like Bobby. After his joyful reaction, it turned out to be the missing dog Thanks to the people who sheltered him during the journey, they were able to reconstruct the complete route he crossed.
To see his family again, he crossed almost 2500 miles (4,000 kilometers) in six months. He hiked across the Rocky Mountains in the middle of winter and ended up being nicknamed "Bobby the Wonder Dog." He was the inspiration for the movie "Lassie Returns".

THE WRAP SHACK can't wait for Sunday, our favourite Market and now our favourite shop, we will be bring a whole lot of goodness from our beautiful farm in the Magaliesberg, all grown and made by us, you will find our tantalizing farm fresh vegan street food, from delicious wraps, burgers, pulled pork sarmies, roasted aubergine salad and even a dessert, DEEP FRIED OREOS, STYLE.
we also will have some scrumptious homemade pears in syrup, poached pears in a delicious port sauce, freshly picked pomegranates, pecan nuts and more, all to eat there or take home.......look forward to seeing you all on Sunday ....10 am- 3pm

On the menu our famous

FUNKY FALAFEL WRAP:
choose your favourite veg infused wrap, we cram it with a crunchy rainbow slaw, slices of creamy avocado, pineapple salsa and 2 funky falafels, all dressed with our home made cashew but creme.......
DORITO DUDE BURGER
s scrumptious home made pattie, layered between a charcoal panini roll, on a spicy rainbow slaw, the pattie, topped with a hash brown, pineapple pickle and topped with a stack of dorito battered onion rings
KOFTA SALAD
A Turkish spiced lentil kofta grilled to perfection served on a bed of fresh mint, cucumber and red onion and a dollop of hummus

DESSERTS
An Apple Turn over, filled with s delicious spiced apple butter encased in an all coconut butter pastry......YUMMY
PEAR AND PECAN SLICE
A all pecan flour cake with pear chunks topped with slices of roasted pears and a pecan praline...TO DIE FOR......

So Day 19 of our lockdown, the perfect weather for soup and bread.......
Been playing around with many soup ideas for our new production line, on our autumn/winter menus, part of our farm to table, delivered to you fresh, to either eat on the day or in next day or freeze for later meals, all our meals will either feed 2 or 4......so today our first try out for a maybe on our menu is, I HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF ORGANIC BEAUTIFUL BRIGHT RED BEETROOT. so we making

BEETROOT SOUP, WITH AN HOMEMADE CASHEW CREAM CHEESES AND HOMEMADE CIABATTA BREAD,
It was delicious
With its earthy full flavour, vibrant colour and not forgetting the health benefits of caranoids, anti oxidants, immune boosting and vitamins, you can't go wrong with this soup......yummy.........so excited to get this one on the menu.........

Please guys there are so many posts on FB with depressing, negative posts on small businesses closing their doors etc. Yes its scary, yes its uncertain, but my motto is
A NEGATIVE MIND NEVER CREATES A POSITIVE LIFE.
I'm taking this as a well deserved rest to get my creative juices flowing, starting afresh with new ideas, new challenges.
Just think a new beginning.
As most of you known I'm a small business owner, having already been forced to close my doors on the 16 March as that's when the President declared no more large gatherings.
But my instead of freaking out, I stayed calm, and thought logical about the situation, believing and trusting the universe, yes my money and food I've had to make last, and now a extra 2 week.
But what is freaking out or going into panic going o solve..........
IVE TAKEN IT THIS WAY,6 YEARS AGO WHEN I LOST MY JOB I TOOK A LEAP OF FAITH INTO THE UNKNOWN, AT THE AGE OF 50, INTO STARTING MY OWN BUSINESS WITH VERY LITTLE RESOURCES, BUT A HUGE AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE, I STARTED MY BUSINESS WITH NO CONTACTS, NO PLATFORM, NO VICES, JUST A PASSION FOR FOOD.
KNOW TODAY IM IN THE SAME BOAT, BUT THIS TIME NOT ONLY DO I HAVE THE HUGE KNOWLEDGE AND EXTRA, I HAVE THE CONTACTS, THE PLATFORMS AND AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT, NOW ITS TO FIND NEW WAYS TO GO AHEAD, I SEE IT AD AN EXCITING CHALLENGE.
REMEMBER
A NEGATIVE MIND DOES NOT CREATE A POSITIVE LIFE.
Let's take the lessons been thrown at us from the universe and ride the wave into a newer, better life.
