Our Story
When Jana-Mari got engaged she already knew which venues she wanted to view. She was so excited to start planning her wedding and she was determined to do it all by herself. She read a lot of articles and watched a lot of videos on how to plan a wedding and researched dozens of venues, photographers, DJ’s and florists.
Even though a lot of the videos and articles suggested that she hire a wedding coordinator, Jana-Mari was certain that she could handle everything on her own. However, after her wedding she had one big regret – not having an on-the-day coordinator. She was too involved on her wedding day and even helped with the décor setup in the morning. She was the one who had to handle a crisis if there was one, and she had to make sure that everything was going as planned. This led her to experience a lot of stress on the day and prevented her from fully enjoying her wedding day.
Looking back at the levels of stress she experienced, she realized that her purpose lies in helping other couples have stress-free wedding days. No one should regret anything about their wedding day. Now that she knows exactly what to do (and what not to do), she can help them to save time and maintain their peace of mind by planning and coordinating their weddings, while also incorporating her own passions – organizing, planning, and creativity. So, she started NouTrou Weddings.
Today, Jana-Mari is passionate about making the wedding planning process easy and efficient for couples. She focuses on removing as much stress as she can from them so that they can savour every moment of their wedding day. She urges couples to at least hire an on-the-day coordinator to really have the best wedding experience possible. It’s worth paying that extra cost. She will save you money anyway by finding the best vendors for the best price.
