This is La Rustica after dark.

In our Piazza della Fontana, string lights replace the sun. The fountain keeps talking long after the last glass is poured. For a few hours, it doesn’t feel like Johannesburg - it feels like Italy, and everyone in it looks a little bit in love.

A glass of w**e rarely stays just a glass of w**e.

It’s usually where the conversation starts — and more often than not, it’s the person pouring it that you remember.

A heartfelt thank you to VINIMARK for allowing us to be part of such a special evening, and to Ginette de Fleuriot for leading our very first masterclass tasting in La Cantina Privata.

It was such an honour to watch this space come to life exactly as we had imagined it, filled with great w**e, meaningful conversation and the people who make these moments so memorable.

Here’s to many more around the table. 🍷

We had the privilege of hosting the Vinimark W**e Trade Fair here in Johannesburg for our opening event.

To taste. To talk. To connect.

After 16 years, guests moved through La Rustica again. Producers poured their best, conversations got longer, and the golden light found its way through the trusses until it spilled out into our courtyard as the sun went down.

VINIMARK, thank you for trusting us with this one. There’s no better way we could have opened our doors.
