Happy Monthiversary!

After a year of uncertainty and so many sacrifices due to COVID19 restrictions, the most memorable and joyous part of the day was simply knowing this couple is getting their dream wedding!They had waited a full year to finally tie the knot, and despite all the challenges that came our way, we relished in the beauty of the wedding day and the happiness of knowing Nicole and Bradley, our gorgeous couple and their family/friends could finally celebrate!

The day was filled with such beautiful energy and love that was instantly felt as one drove through Lace on Timber’s gate. The bridal suite was serene as the ladies were getting ready and our bride was simply radiant! Everything came together with such ease and grace and laughter could be heard throughout the day!

The vision was classic romantic, the wedding was fused with so many elegant and thoughtful details designed with very romantic, dreamy, natural and elegant undertones. Soft pinks and greys, soft lines, exquisite stationery and gorgeous florals - truly a fairy tale wedding!

1st Birthday is a true milestone 💫⁠

In 2019 we hosted a beautiful baby shower for a very special lady expecting her miracle baby girl🤰🏽⁠

Fast forward to 2021 and it was time to celebrate this special princess's 1st birthday! But it happened to be in lockdown and it meant that family and friends couldn't attend. And so we set a beautiful lunch for immediate family who wanted to mark the day despite all restrictions and simply celebrate the life of their beautiful girl⁠

Lilacs and pinks are a stunning choice for a summer lunch and we used an abundance of roses, snap dragons and orchids. My personal design crush came from the most exquisite Hermès dinnerware that added ultimate luxury to the whole setting⁠

Thank you to the family for making us a part of this truly memorable day💜

How do you welcome a baby? With love, laughter and a gorgeous event of course!

Muslim parents do not traditionally hold a "baby shower" prior to the child's birth. The Islamic alternative is a welcoming ceremony called the aqiqah (Ah-KEE- ka), which is held after the child is born. Hosted by the baby's family, the aqiqah includes traditional rituals and is an essential celebration for welcoming a new baby into a Muslim family. And there must be sweets and treats!

We were so privileged to have been a part of Baby Kinsey’s Reception. We loved the neutral and soft tones with ever-soft touches of pink. The sensational balloon installation took everyone's breath away and provided a stunning backdrop to thoughtful details and elegant table setting.

"When I used to read about fairytales, I never thought I'd end up in the middle of one" - Alice in Wonderland
Some weddings are truly dreamy. It may be the mysterious yet elegant colour palette, stunning florals, magical elements or the beauty of the couple... or maybe it is the combination of all of the above?
The couple knew that they wanted their big day to have a classic and romantic look, filled with layers of luxury. We started in one direction but after having to postpone a wedding, a new theme developed. And personally, I cannot imagine this wedding being anything but this lush hunter green extravaganza.

This exquisite ceremony and reception was held at Kloofzicht. The room was filled with cascading greenery and chandeliers. Each mirror table was styled with fresh white and green florals and gorgeous crystal elements with touches of black, all this looked spectacular against the grey draping

Every detail from the striking stationery design to jaw dropping sensational wedding cake, everything was curated and carefully considered to bring together this picture perfect wedding

Here we are in April 2021, with social gatherings permitted and weddings slowly starting to happen, there is a lot of criticism. Many believe that hosting a wedding is irresponsible and blaming weddings on the spread on the virus now fearing weddings will cause the third wave. Do you agree or disagree. Over the past year our world has turned upside down. Who would have thought that the year 2020 brought us global pandemic. We all had so many plans, and especially couples who were planning their weddings. Planning a wedding became challenging overnight and with every Presidential address things get more complicated. There is so much uncertainty, so much negativity that brides (and their loved ones) are struggling to stay positive and inspired.
Personally, it took me a year to admit just how devastating it all was and what a toll it took on my mental health. At first, I stayed positive, active and pro-active but as the months passed things became hard. Some of my couples had to postpone three times due to changes in regulations. Every move was emotional and frustrating.

At the point, I am not taking on any more wedding planning clients as my weekend dates are full for 2021. However, I am excited about offering my knowledge, experience and guidance as a virtual wedding planner.

As your virtual wedding planner, I will ensure that couples don’t miss any key components. I will keep them motivated and help them with any wedding related problem. I will share my experience and knowledge and offer solutions.
