For those seeking an adrenaline rush that tests their endurance to the max, the Lake Eland Extreme Trail Run is for you. The race is made up of laps of 12.5km, to be run every 2 hours, to get you to a total of 50km. Laps are run in batches with an elimination process applied and there fantastic prizes up for grabs on every lap. Join the many herds of buck, zebra and giraffe that roam freely across the Lake Eland Game Reserve for this unique trail-running experience.

The Vlerkfees MTB Challenge brings together a feast of sport and music. Showcasing a host of artists in an authentic bushveld atmosphere, the event offers a fantastic family-friendly outdoor experience. The day kicks off at 07h00 with the MTB challenge. Riders can choose from 60km, 40km, and 20km routes that take them along scenic single tracks.

At 11h00, the event transforms into a music festival featuring artists such as Bernice West, Leo Sonskyn, Bok van Blerk, Bongo-Freestyle and Barto. Children under 13 enjoy free access to the festival area.

This is true mountain running in the heart of the mighty Drakensberg Mountains! The 13km is all mountain single-track but fast and fun. The 25km takes you deep into the heart of the mountains and is made up of two halves: the first is tough and technical but without the extreme ascent of the longer distances; the second half is runnable single-track. The Marathon 42km is a rewarding challenge, getting up top and showcasing the very best of the spectacular Little Berg and Amphitheatre, while the Ultra 65km is a demanding yet exhilarating BEAST!
