His sets at TOYTOY where he currently holds a residency are known for breaking with stereotypes of dance music and being anything but predictable as he brings listeners sounds from all genres and spheres of his world of music.

• Music digger at heart, OCD_J is best described as someone who has always had a passion for good music no matter the genre. For the last 10 years, I’ve spent the majority of my time searching for those gems to fill my music library and in 2023 I decided to turn that passion into DJ-ing. Techno, House, Downtempo & Disco are all sounds you may hear me play out but musically my library consists of anything from Electronic to HipHop to Reggae. What is OCD_J? A fun play on words, CDJ, DJ, OCD and so forth. What is my aim? To hopefully make people feel as excited about good music as I do but even more excited to just have a good dance.

☆On this week's episode we have the privelege of hosting the one and only... LoTech:

• DJ for 24 years, Promoter for 19 years and music fanatic for as long as he can remember. Early musical influences where the psychedelic rock bands of his father's record collection by the likes of Uriah Heap, Deep Purple and The Doors. A love for nineties Hip Hop led him to DJing. The discovery of legendary 90's Progressive House Record labels like Renaissance Records, Hooj Choons, Global Underground as well as pioneer DJ's in the field like Sasha and Digweed, Anthony Pappa and Dave Seaman made a everlasting Imprint. By then the DJ bug had already bitten.

• Fast forward 18 years to Durban South Africa where LoTech is a previous resident at Kulture Nightclub and Origin Nightclub. Appearances on 5FM has led to National opportunities like playing at ToyToy, AND Nightclub, Truth Nightclub, Sunday Funk, Aruba Lounge, The Sunday Social, Sugar Sunday and Stones Centurion VIP in Johannesburg as well as Mødular. Reset and Distrikt in Cape Town. As of late LoTech has extended his reach to the KZN Festival scene with regular performances and headline slots at festivals like Elysium, Butterfly Effect, Hex, Abracadabra, Funky Fish, Indigionous Frequency and Connexion NYE. The LoTech Curates brand was spawned in 2019 and has since hosted several club nights, pop up events and a Festival stage at Hotboxed Creative Groups Thank Me Later Festival.

This success nationally has opened the door for LoTech to play alongside some amazing International talent like:Leif Muller, Kidnap Kid, Wankelmut, WHYTE NOYZE, Third Son, Einmusik, Juliet Fox, Betoko, Hatzler, Djumma Soundsystem and Gabe.

Hi this is Musa( musatuk0 ) and Bafana ( NPCBFZ ) or better know as An\droid¹⁷. fisrt of we would like to thank every ine for there support towards us as a duo and individually through out this year with out everyone we wouldn't be able to do this and be here where we are we promise to come back next year with more mixes individually and as a duo next year, with that being said were two young artists from opposite sides of gauteng Musa being from the West and Bafana being from the East it is quite difficult for us to get together and perform but we choose to not set limits for our selfs on this journey, we tend to feel the pressure of performing, our mix 803 is our best mix and was done after not mixing for a while and the 2nd time we ever tried playing together and we are obsessed with it it has everythin

"The first unique selling point that comes to mind is the genuine fe**sh we share with the soundscapes that have brought four Xhosa ears from opposite ends of the province together to blend harmonics to and for audiences that are dancing along this path with us. The second difference would be the fact that both members of our duo are self-taught producers. This adds an intimate understanding of our sound into the equation. An additional aspect of our duo that sets us apart is the fact that we may not have an everlasting dialogue due to life yet there is this unworldly unification that occurs in the moment either of us steps foot into the other’s presence. To put it crudely, apologies in advance, the handful of mixes we have released could be thought of as a th*****me in the way that they may contain a moment or two where a kinky and impulsive idea has been carried out with intentions to experiment as well as drum up attraction. Although an aspect of exploration is present we are still devoted to letting the music speak for itself- especially when it comes to Sub frequencies. The cherry on top of our “sales pitch”- A.K.A - the chief characteristic would and will forever be the playful outlook towards sets as well as our lives."
