At theSQUAD, we want to help tell real stories.

This shoot created space for young people to be themselves, sharing their individual perspectives, ambitions and ideas.

Sometimes we hear the loudest voices and miss the softer ones. But everyone has story and being invited to tell it is a reminder that every person matters.

This is especially true of our youth.

Their voices belong in the conversations happening now. Their opinions and choices are already shaping the future of South Africa and the world.

Fight? Never. Debate loudly, hand out questionable awards, hunt tiny yellow ducks and solve the impossible? Absolutely 💯

For AWS Summit Johannesburg 2026, theSQUAD War Room was the operational and emotional heart of the production. It was where plans changed, producers shared updates, problems were solved and more than 400 crew members were kept informed, connected, fuelled and cared for.

Between the floorplans, laptops, radios and stand-ups were snacks, music, laughter, the Dick, Princess and Clown awards, and enough gees to carry the team through six demanding days onsite.
