RMB Year-End 2025 | Written in the Stars: Moonlight & Jazz

At RMB, brilliance is never accidental. This year-end celebration was created to honour the people whose talent, commitment and spark helped shape an extraordinary 2025.

The theme *Written in the Stars – Moonlight & Jazz* was a celebration of excellence, impact and the individuals who continue to light up the RMB business.

From the winners recognised on the night to every person who led, supported, created, inspired and delivered throughout the year, the evening was a reminder that RMB’s strength lies in its people. This was a night of elegance, energy and magic celebrating the stars who make RMB shine.

We brought the décor for the P&C Summit 2026 to life through texture, layering and thoughtful detail – blending books, paper, old-world objects like typewriters, and other nostalgic elements to create a dialogue between the old and the new.

Set against this, the use of paper origami and sculptural paper animals introduced a whimsical, fantastical quality that added magic to the day and transformed the space into something truly immersive.

The result was an environment that felt both story-led and forward-looking – honouring heritage, craft and imagination while inviting delegates into Our Next Growth Chapter.

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 – a celebration of leadership, vision, and the courage to grow.

For the 𝐂𝐎𝐎 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, Mela Events partnered with our client to craft an 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 that reflected 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥.

The décor was intentionally designed to bring the “Growing Places” theme to life, echoing the open sky and the client’s brand identity – a visual expression of clarity, confidence and collaboration. The summit symbolised elevation, possibility and forward momentum.

With 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐰𝐚 as host and inspiration from the trailblazing 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐟𝐞𝐤𝐚, South Africa’s first female fighter pilot, the event seamlessly blended 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐕 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to deliver an unforgettable experience.

From 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝é𝐜𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠, and end-to-end event design, earlier this year, we had the honour of curating the 𝐑𝐌𝐁 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. A 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 designed around the power of reform to drive recovery, anchored in trust,innovation and transformation.

The Summit featured extraordinary voices, including 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐝 𝐊𝐢𝐩𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐞, Olympic Champion and the first human to run a marathon in under two hours, who shared lessons in endurance, mindset and resilience.

Our role was to shape an environment that embodied those same values. Through intentional design, seamless logistics, and thoughtful flow, we transformed vision into an experience that inspired courage, connection and forward motion.

Setting the stage for brilliance.

RMB Think Summit 2025 at the CTICC transformed Exhibition Halls A & B into a striking arena for 350 thought leaders, gathering to explore reform and recovery within the South African context. A custom-built raked seating structure brought every guest closer to the action, creating an immersive, theatre-style setup that was bold, dynamic, and deeply engaging.
