The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step ..... Awards event Thaba Eco Hotel, Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. Rough start, original venue was the Fire Kraal but heavy rains scuppered our plans. Heavy downpour caused roof leaks! Thanks to quick action on the part of our team and hotel banqueting staff, the event was moved to an alternative venue. Worked out rather well. View for days .... gin bar, gin pops welcomes the guests .... Congratulations to the nominees and the winner!

Kate & Kenny, two very special young people celebrated their marriage at St John's College Houghton Johannesburg on Saturday, 9th April 2016. A slightly different slant to most weddings; they would rather have basic décor, basic catering and rather be surrounded by all their friends and family. They battled so whittle the guest list down to 170 people. Focus was on the ceremony and being prepared for the big promise they were going to make. Moms Jo Walsh and Di Hohls worked hard on making the finances work and in the end the magic happened! The eventing challenge here was to build a venue in an outdoor space that came across welcoming, warm and celebratory. Thanks to Louise and team, Althea Stevens Kitchen Love for the cake, JK Productions for the lighting and sound and RSA Draping solutions for the fairy lights, a school space was transformed into a wedding reception space. The flowers were beautiful and arranged by Kate's Aunt, Barbara Kemp, Rosamunds Florist Westville Junction Durban. Bouquets were made the night before or should I say early on the day! Well done Barbara and Di! A very blessed occasion, even the weather held out for us ..... congratulations and thank you for the opportunity to work alongside you on this special wedding. God bless.
