And then… the room got quiet.

Because sometimes celebrating women means celebrating the victories.

And sometimes it means making space for the losses, the hard seasons, the moments that changed us, and the strength it took to keep going.

Janene Moodley opened her heart and shared the deeply personal story of losing her two daughters in a car accident last year, reminding us that behind every woman is a story we may never fully know.

Nerissa Moodley, founder of the event, spoke honestly about her own highs and lows, the people who carried her through them, and the faith that continues to carry her.

And Ashley Brauns-Steenkamp left us with a reminder every woman needs to hear: if there isn’t a seat for you at the table, create one.

Three stories. Three journeys. Three very different women.

But one shared message:

Your story matters. Your voice matters. And you deserve to take up space.

Sometimes, all it takes is one woman telling her story to remind another woman of her own strength.

Our theme was Celebrating You, and these conversations brought that theme to life.

From the warmth and energy of our MC, Tarryn “TK” Trussel Van Louw, to the powerful words of Nompumelelo Hlela and Erin-Jane Miller, 2025 Mrs South Africa, the room was filled with stories, lessons, laughter and those little moments that make you stop and think.

Different women. Different journeys. Different chapters.

But one beautiful reminder running through it all: There is so much power in simply showing up as yourself. 🤍

A room full of women. A whole lot of laughter. A few tears. And countless reasons to celebrate. 🥂

For our first-ever Women’s Day event at Fairway Hotel, we wanted to create more than a gathering. We wanted a space where women could pause, connect, be inspired, have honest conversations, dance a little, laugh a lot and simply celebrate themselves.

From our incredible speakers to our wonderful vendors (Parallel Wives Club ), delicious food and every woman who showed up and brought her own story to the room, you made the day what it was.

And knowing that our celebration also contributed towards organisations empowering women and girls made it even more meaningful.

Celebrating you wasn’t just the theme. It was the whole point. 🤍

Here’s to making this an annual tradition. ✨

Our very first Women’s Day event, hosted by Micah’s Décor & Events in collaboration with Graze, was more than an afternoon of pretty tables and good food. It was a room full of women connecting, laughing, learning, sharing stories, shedding a few tears and reminding one another just how powerful we are when we come together.

With incredible conversations from our guest speakers: Nompulelo Hlela, Erin-Jane Miller and Janene Moodley. As well as incredible energy from our MC Tarryn TK Kay Trussell Van Louw, and so many beautiful women in one room, this was exactly the kind of celebration we hoped to create.

And the best part? Every ticket helped give back to charities supporting women and girls.

Our first one and definitely not our last. 🥂✨
