Student Showcase - Party Planning Assignment 🌊🐙

Martha, one of students created this fun and colourful Under the Sea 5th Birthday Party, featuring a spectacular balloon octopus centrepiece, ocean-inspired balloon décor, themed party boxes, underwater backdrops, and adorable sea creature cupcakes.

Every detail was carefully planned to create a magical underwater adventure for the birthday child and guests. We love seeing our students turn creative ideas into beautifully styled celebrations!

One of the things we love most about what we do is watching complete strangers walk into our classroom and leave as friends, colleagues, and part of a bigger African family.

Our Flower Arranging & Function Décor students came from different cities, different countries, different cultures, and different walks of life. Yet here they are laughing, dancing, creating, and celebrating together.

In a world where we often hear about division, the wedding and events industry reminds us of something powerful: people are brought together through celebration. Through flowers, creativity, love, and shared experiences, we build connections that cross borders.

This is what makes us proud. Not just the beautiful work our students create, but the friendships, respect, and unity that grow along the way.

Our students absolutely brought the vision to life with their very first styled shoot group project, and we could not be prouder of the outcome.

From the rich florals and romantic stationery details to the dramatic styling and beautiful creative touches, the “Forbidden Fruit” concept was executed with so much passion, creativity and attention to detail. Every element was carefully thought through and designed to tell a story and seeing it all come together was incredibly rewarding.

One of the most exciting parts of our courses is watching students take what they’ve learnt in class and transform it into something real, practical and visually beautiful. This shoot was a true reflection of teamwork, imagination and the talent growing within the next generation of wedding and event professionals.

One of the most exciting parts of our Wedding & Event Design Course is watching our students take everything they have learnt in class and bring it to life in a real styled shoot environment 🤍

As part of their group assignment, our students were tasked with conceptualising, planning, styling, coordinating, and executing a full Korean-inspired styled shoot… we are SO proud of what they created.

From the beautiful cherry blossom-inspired styling, delicate parasols, floral design, stationery details, table styling, fashion, and overall atmosphere… every detail was thoughtfully considered and beautifully executed.

Styled shoots are such an important part of the learning journey because they allow students to experience what it truly takes to work together as a creative team within the wedding and event industry from idea development right through to ex*****on on the day.

This shoot was elegant, creative, romantic, and full of personality, and we think the team did an absolutely incredible job.

A huge thank you as well to all the amazing suppliers, creatives, models, and service providers who contributed towards making this vision come to life.
Your support, talent, and collaboration are so appreciated and play such an important role in helping grow and mentor the next generation of wedding and event professionals in Africa 🤍
