Zuri Destination - DMC Ms Kgomotso Phoofolo is a Professional Marketing Associate, with many years of experience in the tourism industry.

Specialising in Destination Marketing, Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conferences, Exhibitions and Events (MICE) for corporate, government and tourism clients across South Africa. She was inspired, in choosing the name, by the presence, in her life, of her daughter Mbali, meaning ‘a flower’ in IsiZulu. She knows only too well what the challenges of motherhood, nurturing, caregiving, profession and giving all of oneself could do to the sanity and beauty of life. Hence, she decided to dedicate her own experiences to giving people in the travel, hospitality and associated services an opportunity to feature in Zuri’s tourism destination marketing and travelling.

Why Destination Marketing Matters More Than Ever 🇿🇦

Every destination has a story—but only those that tell it well stand out.

Destination marketing is about far more than attracting visitors. It's about creating jobs, supporting local businesses, strengthening communities and positioning destinations as places where people want to visit, meet, invest and return.

Business events—including meetings, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions (MICE)—play a vital role in this journey. They bring people together, showcase destinations and leave a lasting economic legacy.

The recent launch of TBCSA and TOMSA's "Tourism in South Africa with Trevor Noah – Don't Say We Didn't Tell You" campaign is a reminder that South Africa has an incredible story to tell. Together, we all have a role to play in sharing it with the world.
