Today I forced myself to paint something and I surprised myself when a man developed on the canvas…. if you know me well, you know that I almost exclusively paint/draw women, so here we go….

It’s done on a small A6 canvas.

“Heather on her Walk”

Oil on Canvas
50x80cm

When I lived in London, I saw so many beautiful strangers walking around and often I’d see them more than once if we used the same train station or coffee shop. Some of them would smile in acknowledgement as you passed them. I used both oil paint and oil pastels to create this portrait of “Heather”.

I’m selling this rather large painting for R1300. If you’re interested in purchasing or just have a question, please send me a direct message.

Working on a little pastel piece today! At the critical point where you either leave it where it is or soldier on… I do love an unfinished look though 👌🏻👌🏻

After 3 years I finally think I’ve got somewhere with the appraisal of my Giclee Picasso Print signed by Sylvette David…

The estimated value is between $250 and $1000. The higher number would probably only be reached if a buyer was as in-love with the story as I was…

This artwork is priceless to me because Picasso’s favourite muse - the woman he thought was the most beautiful in the world and spent a whole season drawing and painting - hand signed my print 😍

Can’t wait to give this gem that i found at a London thrift store to my children one day!

New Art!

“Poppy V1”

Charcoal and Acrylic on Smooth Canson Paper.

A3

The subject isn’t dead—just vacant, lying in wait for a new life. Who will she be when she opens her eyes? I applied the charcoal with my finger, slowly building up to a face that, as usual, feels strangely familiar to me. The bold black acrylic lines suggest that Poppy is in a state of reconstruction. This is echoed in the unmarked label on her head—has she been forgotten, or has her new identity not been decided on yet.

*The artwork is unframed, I have just used a rendering app to show what it would look like once framed.

“Lapochka”

A3 Charcoal on Canvas (unframed)

R700

Some people need hallucinogenics and intensive therapy to pull-out their buried, painful memories. Others have had every memory and thought circling around their heads since the day they were born.
This drawing is about change through suffering.

Can you see the happiness in my face?? I’m finally creating for ME and what I like 🥰
