𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Launching on 𝟭𝟳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, DM Guild ZA’s 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁 𝗮 𝗗𝗠 programme is a new biweekly development space for aspiring, new and experienced Dungeon Masters.

Whether you’re thinking about running your 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 or you’ve already spent years behind the screen, this is your chance to:

Each Adopt a DM day includes:

We start with the foundations — practical skills, tools and techniques designed to help you run stronger, more confident and more enjoyable games.

Then we go further.

Put ideas into practice, tackle more challenging DM situations, exchange experience and explore the things that make running a table really interesting.

As you develop, opportunities may include shadowing and assisting Guild DMs during Adventurers League and selected themed events — building real table experience before potentially being invited to run 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀.

Applications are open for our long-term 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗲 campaign at 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗲 & 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗲, in partnership with 𝗗𝗠𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗭𝗔.

We’re building 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟲–𝟳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀, playing on alternating Tuesdays from 𝟭𝟴:𝟬𝟬–𝟮𝟭:𝟯𝟬, with each group meeting twice a month.

Confident new players and experienced players are welcome.

There is 𝗻𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, but some adult themes may arise. The age mix of applicants will help shape the two groups so each table has a comfortable dynamic.

𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪?

Because we’re not simply filling seats.

We want to understand what you enjoy about D&D, how you like to play and whether you’ll be a good fit for the table.

Just as importantly, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗠.

Ask questions. Get a feel for how they balance roleplay, combat, exploration and rules, and decide whether this is the GM and campaign you want to commit your Tuesday nights to.
