A romantic farm-style venue complete with ultra-modern touches – the first of its kind in the Eastern Cape. Cassie and Sandra Lotter from the farm Die Erfie, outside Jeffreys Bay transformed their old barn on the farm into a distinctive event venue that can host events ranging from large scale weddings to intimate receptions and private parties. This new venue offers an ambiance that exceeds all e
xpectations. The exteriors of the old barn was retained and a few alterations gave birth to a whole new event space. The combination of plush and extravagant décor pieces, velvet curtain drapes and oversized crystal chandeliers teams up with the casual location and rough exterior of the building. Corrugated-iron sheeting forms the shell and roof of the building with it’s grey-white screed floors. An 8m bar counter runs the width of the room. The side door opens to a gracious outdoor patio with fire place and braai area, where there are a couple of comfortable couches to flop onto. The Rose Barn with it’s large wooden deck overlooking the Seekoei river Valley and the ocean in a distance is the brainchild of Sandra Lotter who also grows close to a hundred rose trees next to the venue - adding to the beauty of the place. The natural elegance of the location and surroundings, landscape and existing structures create the perfect setting for any event.
