We’re sending all our love and support to two very special members of the Harrington House family as they take on Comrades 2025 this weekend! 💛🖤

In the centre of this photo is the ever-cheerful Bhekithemba Shangase — our cherished groundsman and an inspiring athlete, proudly wearing race number #23463. Bheki is no stranger to the road, having already earned two silver medals with incredible times of 6:58 (2023) and 7:16 (2024). What a legend! 🌟👏

And though not pictured here, we’re equally proud of Jenny Gilson (one of our beloved shareholders) — taking on her very first Comrades this year with race number #29052. A super-athletic force, Jenny has taken part in many races before, but this will be her debut at Comrades — and we know she’s going to conquer it with grit and grace! 💫👟

To both of you: may your legs stay strong, your hearts stay light, and your spirits carry you all the way to the finish line. You’ve got this! 💪💥

As we look back on Art in the Country 2025, we are filled with overwhelming gratitude. What a weekend it was — full of colour, creativity, connection, and community.

Opening night at Art in the Country was nothing short of magical at Harrington House! ✨ Guests enjoyed delicious food sponsored by SPAR, sipped sundowners beneath glowing skies, and were serenaded by the soulful sounds of Rene TshiKayi. The rhythm of the Hilton College Marimba Band brought the evening to life, adding a joyful beat to every moment.

Laughter, good company, and stunning art filled the air as our spectacular exhibition was officially opened.

We can’t wait to welcome you all weekend long — come for the art, stay for the magic! And a special thank you to Mandy Johnston for her inspiring and powerful live art burns — a must-see happening every evening at 7pm!
