As a wedding florist, I always look forward to seeing who the photographer will be for each wedding.

They’re the ones who capture the beauty of the flowers, preserving them in memories for years to come. It’s also the photographer who often graces our Instagram feeds in the weeks that follow the event.

When I met Bronwyn at Olive Rock, I wished her good luck – the heat and direct sun were intense that day. I’m truly amazed by the incredible work she did. Capturing this petite flower arrangement was no easy task, but she made it look effortless.

This arch has to be one of my absolute favorites of the season — made even more special by the two incredibly kind and genuine people I had the pleasure of working with.

Here’s a little backstory: I believe every wedding needs that one unique element that takes it from beautiful to unforgettable. For me, that element often comes from foraging - finding wild foliage or blooms from forests, fields, farms, or even the roadside to add a creative, natural twist to the arrangements.

On the day of Valerie’s wedding, I still hadn’t found “the one.” While driving to deliver her bridal bouquet, I said a quick prayer. Moments later, I spotted the most incredible
blossoms in someone’s yard. Without overthinking, I turned the car around, gathered my courage, and asked if I could purchase a few stems. To my surprise, the kind woman told me I could take as many as I needed.

The next day, I returned with a bouquet to thank her. She was deeply moved and shared that all she wanted for her birthday was flowers, but it wasn’t something they could
afford. Moments like this remind me of how perfectly things can fall into place. It felt like a blessing for both of us — a reminder of how God’s provision shows up at just the right time (sometimes right at number 99!).

Working with flowers isn’t just a job; it’s an adventure filled with beauty, faith, and unexpected connections. And I’m so grateful for every part of it.

Edited photos often make them look brighter than they are in real life, which is why Pinterest can sometimes be a bit misleading. But those natural tones are what make them feel so fresh and unique.

I’ll admit, I can sometimes frustrate myself with those final touches, but it’s the details that matter most to me. They’re what make every arrangement unique and unforgettable.
