A One Piece cake. (Theme:Anime)
Character: Luffy

The cake is covered in chocolate ganache. The words, character and page is made with chocolate. The red base is fondant.

Everything is made from scratch. I thought I'll take this opportunity to practice my shading (colour in) of the character.

The answer to the teddy bears' name is Theodore's Toe. 😅

I absolutely loved the participation, and guesses were great especially where the toe was acknowledged in the name.

For those who don't know, the original name for a Teddy Bear was Teddies bear. So named after the American president Theodore Roosevelt.

Unfortunately no one won free cupcakes...this time around. One person guessed Theodore correct on What's App but didn't add the toe. I also could not acknowledge a half a win because he is my cousin.

Keep an eye out in the month of June for the next competition.

Faux cakes.

Would you be interested in renting a cake for your event? R300 rental, R500 breakage deposit which will be fully refunded if the cake is returned in the same condition as received. I will deliver and collect the cake. Delivery fees will be charged.

With faux cakes, you will have a display cake the entire time of your event. I will collect the following day.

If you have been following my page, you might have noticed that I never posted my birthday cake last year. I was just too busy and never had a chance to bake my cake. Our theme was music.

I honestly couldn't decide on a specific genre, because I love so many. But my favourite being classical music, today I chose this style of cake to represent my deep love for music.

The vintage piping design represents the era of classical music, the black representing the intense gravitational pull that music have on me and the red roses represents the love for music. And of course the picture with the music note on the face represents how music is a part of me.

Hope you love it as much as I do.

Oh yes, and the roses are buttercream.
