Mila Madlingozi is a passionate and multi-dimensional media personality, currently making waves at Rhodes Music Radio (RMR) as a radio host, producer, and creative curator. Known for her ability to command the mic and connect with audiences, Mila doesn’t just host shows,she creates experiences.
Her love for media began at a very young age, where she actively participated in public speaking and debate competitions. She notably competed in the Department of Water and Sanitation competition, placing 4th, and has continued to build on that early passion with purpose and excellence.
With over five years of experience as a local facilitator for radio workshop, Mila has played a powerful role in mentoring and equipping young voices, working closely with youth development initiatives and organizations such as UNICEF and Vuselela Media. Her impact in community journalism has been widely recognized, in 2022, she was awarded 2nd place in South Africa for Best Community Journalist of the Year, and in 2023, she rose to 1st place, standing out among some of the country’s most impactful young journalists.
At Rhodes Music Radio, Mila has hosted and produced standout shows including:

Her work extends beyond campus radio, having collaborated with platforms such as YFM, further solidifying her presence in the broader media landscape.
Currently studying at Rhodes University, Mila is also expanding her creative expression through journalism and drama refining her performance, storytelling, and stage presence in a way that seamlessly complements her broadcasting career.
Beyond the mic, she is a singer and performer, bringing emotion, authenticity, and energy into every space she enters making her not just a host, but an unforgettable experience.
