Drop the mentality that every little money you make must be spent. You had “na enjoyment” with your salary in December, how are your finances now? Until you understand that every rand is a seed, a seed to make you more money, then you will always remain in poverty.
Working longer hours and even earning a higher salary won’t do you much good if you don’t have the ability to convert that seed called a salary into cashflow producing trees. A tree called a business. A tree called a property investment portfolio. A tree called investing in other people’s businesses or developments so that you can be paid dividents. Similar to some of our developments in my business.
You don’t win over poverty by using your money to buy the first thing you like. You win over poverty by investing your money, and then reinvesting it, and then moderately enjoying the proceeds of your investment in the process. Be a thinker. How will you ever be free if all you do is take what you have and buy with it?
