Some of the most beautiful moments at a wedding are the ones that happen entirely on their own.

The laughter between photographs, the conversations that run a little longer, the moments you never could have anticipated, let alone planned.

There’s something quite special about watching a day unfold naturally, knowing just how much thought has gone into everything happening around it.

Behind the scenes, there are timelines to follow, suppliers to coordinate, decisions to make and a hundred little details that need tending to. But none of that should belong to you on your wedding day.

You should be able to lose track of time. To be completely present with the people you love, without wondering what needs to happen next.

Because the beauty of a well-planned wedding isn’t that every moment is accounted for. It’s that you never have to think about the planning at all.

Design rarely exists in isolation.

Fashion, interiors, architecture, art. Each has a way of informing how I approach a wedding.

A few things influencing my creative perspective lately:

Architecture; The Bauhaus movement. Its emphasis on geometry, function and simplicity. The idea that every element should have a purpose, without sacrificing beauty.

Draping; The sculptural fabric work of Madame Grès and the architectural silhouettes seen on the Alaïa runway. Fabric as a means of creating form, movement and atmosphere, rather than simply decoration.

Metallics; The reflective surfaces and industrial materials of Donald Judd’s minimalist sculptures. Polished chrome, brushed silver and stainless steel introduced as deliberate contrasts to softer, more organic elements.

Negative space; The minimalist compositions of Agnes Martin. An appreciation for quietness, repetition and the space surrounding an object, rather than the object alone.

What interests me most is not translating these references literally, but understanding the principles behind them.

A wedding should have its own visual language. One that feels considered, cohesive and entirely its own.

There is so much happening behind the scenes in the moments before I send a bride down the aisle.

Final checks. Vendors in position. Music cued. Doors ready. Bridal party lined up. A timeline running quietly in the background.

And then, at the other end of it all, this moment. A groom waiting for his bride.

One of my favourite parts of wedding days; watching months of planning come down to a few very special minutes.

This is what wedding planning and coordination looks like from our side: taking care of every moving part, so our couples can simply be present for moments like these.

Things I find chic: booking a day-of coordinator.

And no, your venue coordinator and your wedding coordinator are not the same thing.

It’s actually a beautiful tango between the two.

Your venue coordinator knows the venue inside and out. They oversee the venue, its team, its rules, its service and everything happening on their side.

Your wedding coordinator knows your wedding inside and out. Your suppliers, your timeline, your styling, your bridal party, your ceremony cues, your little requests and all the moving parts that extend far beyond the venue itself.

When both roles are filled, they work alongside one another, each looking after their own part of the day while constantly communicating behind the scenes.

The result? A seamless guest experience, peace of mind for you, and a wedding day that simply flows.

Very chic.

And if your wedding is already around the corner, it’s not too late. Our Month-of Coordination package can be booked 4–6 weeks before your wedding day.

We step in to build your detailed wedding timelines, confirm logistics with your suppliers, finalise the moving parts and make sure everyone knows exactly where they need to be and when.

Then, on the wedding day, you’ll have 12 hours of coordination, overseeing the day from behind the scenes so you, your family and your guests can simply experience it.

We are a design-led wedding planning studio.

At La Luna, planning and design are not two separate processes. From the very beginning, I consider how every decision will ultimately come together, visually, practically and cohesively on the day.

The design process begins with your onboarding form, followed by concept development and a carefully curated moodboard. From there, I allocate specific décor and furniture pieces from our own rental catalogue, develop your floral direction in-house, and create digital mock-ups to bring the overall concept to life before your wedding day.

Because we offer our own décor, rentals and florals alongside our planning services, we’re able to closely control the creative process from concept through to ex*****on.

It means fewer moving parts, greater attention to detail, and most importantly, ensuring that what you envisioned throughout the planning process is what you actually see when you walk into your wedding.

Every wedding we design begins from scratch.

No templates. No copy-and-paste concepts. No repeating someone else’s wedding.

It starts with our onboarding form: understanding not only what our couples like, but how they want their wedding to feel. From there, we build the moodboard, develop the creative concept, refine the details and create digital mock-ups to bring the vision together before it ever exists in the room.

Every colour, texture, floral choice, piece of stationery and styling detail is considered in relation to the next.

By the time we arrive on site, we’re not figuring it out as we go. We’re bringing months of thought, development and refinement to life.

Every wedding we plan is custom, and every couple is different.

Once we begin working together, the moodboard becomes the first design step in shaping your day. It’s where the vision is translated into visuals, taking inspiration from your Pinterest boards and refining it into a clear, cohesive design concept.

This is where we define the aesthetic direction, from florals and décor to textures, materials, and the overall guest experience.

From there, we refine the details: a colour palette, texture references, and styling cues that guide every decision.

Only once the concept feels aligned, we move into quoting décor, florals, and production elements, all curated specifically for your wedding.

Nothing is accidental.
