I’ve struggled with sleep for years. 😴
Not just getting to sleep, but actually switching my mind off and staying asleep. My brain seems to have a mind of its own at night 😂 and over the years I’ve needed Dopaquel as a sleep aid just to get a decent night.
So I’ve decided to start a 20-day Epithalon journey and I’m going to document the whole thing — the good, the bad and everything in between.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of Epithalon, it’s a peptide that has been studied for its potential role in sleep and circadian rhythm regulation, particularly through pathways linked to melatonin and the body’s biological clock. There’s also research around its effects on cellular ageing and telomerase, although a lot of the evidence is still experimental and more human research is needed.
I’m especially interested in seeing whether it can help my sleep quality, staying asleep and getting more restorative sleep.
Night 1 🌙
For the first time in a long time, I went to bed without Dopaquel.
I used Epithalon + Selank and this is what my Samsung sleep tracker recorded:
😴 6h 35m sleep
⭐ Sleep score: 71
🧠 REM: 20% — Good
💤 Deep sleep: 8% — needs improvement
⏰ Sleep start: 20:06 — excellent regularity
Obviously, one night means absolutely nothing on its own, so I’m not jumping to any conclusions.
But for me, the interesting part is that I managed my first night without my usual sleep aid, and now I want to see what happens over the next 20 days.
I’ll be sharing my sleep scores and results along the way and then doing a final comparison at the end of the 20 days.
Let’s see what happens… 👀💤
