I was so overwhelmed by all the responses, fabulous comments and good wishes and blessings spoken over us after yesterday’s post.
Thank you!🌿🌿🌿
Quite a few questions came up, so if I may, I would like to answer them....
We are on a guest farm in Prince Albert, Western Cape, called Sommerso, but the name will change in the next few weeks to YELLOW HOUSE, PRINCE ALBERT.
It is one of the historical ‘dorpsplase’ (town farms), with a street address and you can easily walk or cycle to the centre of town.
We have 4 guest cottages at the moment, all self-catering, but plan to do breakfasts soon. Also beautiful trays laden with Karoo dishes delivered to your door in the evening. All of the cottages have private stoeps and braai facilities, and soon you will be able to get braai trays as well, with locally sourced meats and salads and veg from our garden, as well as home-made bread. (Let me just sort out the darn curtains in the cottages first 🥴)
Our cottages:
Borrie Cottage: sleeps 2; R900 per unit (R500 single person)
Mustard Cottage: sleeps 2; R1000 per unit (R600 single person)
Saliehuis: sleeps up to 5; R1000 for 2 persons, R200pp extra. 1 double bed, 1 single and 2 built-in couches for kids.
Lavender Cottage: sleeps up to 4; R1000 for 2 persons, R200pp extra. 1 double bed in a separate room, 2 single beds in lounge area. This cottage is pet-friendly and faces the orchard.
Plunge pools on the cards for next summer .... mine first!😓🤪
