NOTICE: Break-In at House 87

In the early hours of Saturday, 03 May 2025, House 87 was the victim of a serious and targeted break-in. Intruders gained entry through the ceiling, disabled our alarm and surveillance systems, and made off with:
• Cash
• 3 Smart TVs
• A MacBook Pro, iPad, and 3 laptops
• Our DVR and security infrastructure
• A significant amount of alcohol - mainly whiskies, cognacs, gin, and vodka
• Electrical wiring and equipment

This was an organised operation by individuals experienced in roof and business break-ins, and likely involved transport. A formal case has been opened with SAPS, and investigations are underway.

We are open and continuing to serve. While our TVs are temporarily down, our food, culture, and hospitality remain firmly intact.

We would appreciate your support, your presence, and any information that could assist the investigation.

We’ve faced challenges before. We’ll rebuild - stronger, safer, and more determined than ever.

A loyal customers walked in today carrying a big, framed photo. At first, we thought it was just something he wanted us to see… but then he handed it over and said, “This is for you.” Just like that. A gift. To say thanks for the work we do. Honestly, we were speechless. It’s not every day someone goes out of their way like that, and we’re still feeling so flattered and grateful.
