BEAT SELECTION MISTAKES THAT ARTIST SHOULD AVOID!
1. Never use downloaded beats 🌐⬇️❌: - The second you’re downloading an instrumental beat you are setting your self up for low quality music production. How? Whenever a beat is being uploaded online, the quality changes (it decreases) and when you’re downloading it (instrumental beat), the quality decreases for the second time. Even though this applies on online audio stores, it also applies on social networks like WhatsApp, Facebook, gmail e.t.c
2. Don’t go for FREE beats💵✅🤝🏾 : - Quality matters, and if quality is compulsory to the music industry, then we all know that there’s nothing GREAT that comes out of freebies! Beat makers need to be inspired too in order for them to work at their level-best! If the producer is way too needy, buying him a T-Shirt that cost R100 or a cap that cost R130 would mean more than buying him alcohol and w**d! If he/she has a baby give him money to buy his child/children some diapers, this shows that you care for them and they will do anything to see you succeed! This is called emotional investment.
3. Always ask for Split files 💽🤝🏾: - This makes work easier for the recording and mixing engineer. However, it demonstrates professionalism and set the standards of how serious you’re taking your artistry. Imagine you’re on a session on a professional studio and the beat has a problem on the melody and 808, this can not be changed not unless you have these files!
4. Go for uptempo & hyper beats 🔥💃🏼🕺🏾 : people love to dance because they try to forget about their problems and have a nice time. If you can turn your fans up, which means you’re making them feel happy & if they’re happy they won’t a reason to switch to another artists because they get what they want from you.
That’s all for today HUSTLERS! ❤️🤝🏾And I want to thank you for reading this to the end! If you would like me to elaborate on ANYTHING that has to do with High Quality music production, leave a comment on the section below!
