Our story
Perana Set Design is a growing company that specialises in event management and event training and has been successfully operating within the events industry for over 3 years. Like most other companies, Perana Set Design originated from humble beginnings. In 1999 the owner, Naven, procured some material from a friend who was emigrating for the mere cost of R300. With just a bunch of material and no previous draping experience, he began to try and construct basic draping styles on the washing line in his backyard.
Through the growing recognition and success, Naven decided to open his own business in the field of events management and décor in 2015 and Perana Set Design was officially registered in 2017. In 2015 our “Learn to Drape” workshop was launched and became the fast growing popular draping workshop, to date, Perana Set Design has successfully trained over 350+ delegates through these event training workshops. The business focuses primarily on empowering fellow South Africans across the country with essential skills and knowledge to earn an income by becoming an events entrepreneur and starting their own businesses.
The company comprises of a team of experienced professionals within the fields of events and decor, corporate communications, marketing, legal, and sales.
Is to bring balance to our countries economic instability by developing entrepreneurship within our borders. With the increase in entrepreneurship, leads to increased job creation, which in turn leads to an increase in the contribution to the economy. In addition to this, we create and manage events, and aim to create moments to be remembered for a lifetime because we value people and are passionate about our clients developing good relationships through our events.
