Heirloom Brides.

While I love making custom orders, some come with added emotion and history.
Over the years I have had the absolute honor of creating beautiful pieces from very sentimental components.
Lace and pearls from a mom's wedding dress turned into a tiara.
A crown worn by a grandmother and mother, delicately taken apart and made into a new headpiece.
A gift from a friend that is a remembrance of shared bridesmaid duties for a special day across the seas.

These are heart pieces. Tradition, memory, and holding a piece of loved ones while celebrating your special day. It's the something old, something borrowed and something new all in one.

Shew. I haven't posted on "the grid" in a while.
To tell the truth...I think it's just content fatigue.

In this world of ever increasing appetites for content, as a 1 woman creative business, it can all feel overwhelming.
The constant awareness of "capturing" pics and videos for content, having to be presentable for the "face to face" so you can see who is behind the brand. Being told that it all has to be "authentic", but still curated for your ideal client can make you question your "why".
All of this while behind the scenes I am still creating, working, admining and adulting in general. It can be a lot!
Just know even if I am not always showing up online, I am still here doing what I love, for people who are excited by what I do and dreaming of the magic that will happen in the future.

I am just a girl, standing in front of her socials, asking if you still love me?

Who says Men can't accessorise?
From our colab with for their Durban Fashion Fair collection "Isambulo", here is our headpiece giving "kingly" vibes. Handbeaded, with crystal dangles and fabric floral accents, it complements the beautifully handcrafted creations. (That rust and white crosshatch pattern... all hand done... it's not a print).
