I love this quote. Alexander McQueen will forever be an inspiration to me, because he showed who he was as a designer through and through and created some of the most iconic and creative looks in fashion. To me this quote encourages us to show who we are through fashion, whether it is our day to day, special occasions or even our wedding day.

It doesn't have to be loud and bold, if that is not who you are. It is cutting through the noise of what people want you to be and express yourself as you are, or as you dream to be (fashion is aspirational too!).
As a brand Magpie Calls is alllll about this. I want to create pieces that you love, that express who you are, and show off your beauty in whatever way makes you shine. Accessories often get overlooked, but they can make the most simple look, into something that really tells us who you are and your point of view.
Is it playful and fun? Bright and colourful? Classic and timeless? Bold and fashion forward? Romantic and whimsical? Minimalistic and clean?
Having something made or bought that is unique and custom (even our ready made designs), allows you to really think of the details, blend your personalities and styles and help you to show up as the best version of YOU!

We are excited to be a chosen exhibitor for the 2025 this weekend.
A feast of fashion, music, poetry, food and local is lekker businesses. There will be panels and discussions relating to business and the "orange economy". Tickets are free, so go onto the website and get yours.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!
It has literally been a dream of mine to see my creations on a runway like this.
When Carita messaged me to ask if I had some accessories to go with her NYFW collection I said YES immediately. Firstly because its a dream to work with a designer of her quality, AND because how amazing is this opportunity!
Thank you dear Carita for your trust in my work and for letting me come along on this wonderful, crazy experience.
