Magic Lighting requires an Event Co-ordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day logistics and production of multiple events of various sizes, ranging from large to small scale exhibitions, briefings, weddings, banquets, product & promotional launches, etc.

The environment is fast paced where high levels of efficiency, attention to detail and leadership skills will be integral to succeeding and excelling in this role.

The Event Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating events within the venue; client liaison; liaising with suppliers; and supervision of the Logistics staff in respect to the event needs.

Requirements include:
• Matric/Standard 10
• Floor experience in Safety Management of events
• Computer literacy with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Minimum 1 years of experience co-ordinating
• An applied understanding of logistical and operational planning of event management
• A strong, confident and professional manner
• A good command of the English Language and have the ability to communicate clearly, accurately & concisely in English. Zulu is a plus
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work as an effective team member
• Ability to work well in a high stress environment
• Strong problem solving skills
• Valid Driver’s Licence

Area of responsibility:
• Event Co-ordination / Organisation
• Contractor liaison
• Safety
• Administration / General Support

Working conditions:
• 6 Day week; 8 - 12 hour shifts, including public holidays
• It is a pre-requisite that overtime is worked as and when necessary
